Our History
A Legacy of Compassionate Care
Founded in 1991 by Eddie and Marci Minshew, Ambleside began with a simple yet profound goal: to offer individuals with developmental disabilities a chance to live fulfilling lives within their communities. Recognizing the limitations of institutional care, the Minshews set out to create a provider agency that focused on the person, not the diagnosis. Today, Ambleside continues to be a family-owned and operated organization, proudly serving individuals across North Carolina with a dedicated team of over 100 professionals.
